Anchor Capital (Pty) Ltd holds FSP licence number 39834.

2. Investment Risk Warning

Important Notice

All investments involve risk, including the possible loss of capital. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

The value of investments and the income derived from them may go down as well as up. Investors may not recoup the full amount originally invested. Changes in exchange rates may cause the value of investments to fluctuate. There can be no assurance that an investment objective will be achieved or that an investor will receive a return of their capital.

Collective investment schemes (unit trusts) are generally medium- to long-term investments. The value of participatory interests may go down as well as up, and past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance. Collective investment schemes are traded at ruling prices and can engage in borrowing and scrip lending.

3. Regulatory Disclosures

In accordance with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act (CISCA), please note:

  • Anchor BCI unit trusts are managed by BCI Corp (Pty) Ltd, an authorised manager of collective investment schemes in securities (CIS). BCI Corp is supervised by the FSCA.
  • A schedule of fees, charges, and maximum commissions is available on request from the manager. Commission and incentives may be paid, and if so, are included in the overall costs.
  • Performance data is calculated using NAV-to-NAV pricing with income reinvested, after deducting all ongoing charges but before any entry or exit fees.
  • The total expense ratio (TER) is a measure of the total costs associated with managing and operating an investment fund. It includes management fees and additional expenses such as trading fees, legal fees, auditor fees, and other operational expenses.
  • Fund performance figures are sourced from the manager and are provided for illustrative purposes only.

4. Offshore Investments

Anchor Capital, through its subsidiary Anchor Capital (Mauritius) Ltd and its London-based affiliate Credo Capital Limited, offers access to international investment products. Offshore investments are subject to additional risks, including but not limited to currency risk, political risk, and regulatory risk in the relevant jurisdiction.

Credo Capital Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom. Products offered through Credo may not be regulated by the FSCA and South African investor protections may not apply.

5. Tax Considerations

The tax treatment of investments depends on the individual circumstances of each investor and may be subject to change in the future. Anchor Capital does not provide tax advice. Investors should consult their own tax advisors regarding the tax implications of any investment.

South African residents are subject to tax on worldwide income. Investments in Section 12J venture capital companies, retirement annuities, and tax-free savings accounts may have specific tax implications that should be considered before investing.
